Pep Guardiola has once again applauded Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo following another standout display in Manchester City’s dominant victory over Fulham.
The 26-year-old continued his blistering campaign by delivering both a goal and an assist in the 3-0 triumph on Wednesday night.
City needed just 24 minutes to break the deadlock, with Semenyo playing a decisive role before turning provider shortly after.
His burst of energy created space for youngster Nico O’Reilly to double the advantage, putting the hosts firmly in control.
Erling Haaland then added the third before the break, calmly finishing to cap a ruthless first-half performance.
“[Semenyo] has a sense of the second balls in the box but not just that the pace and intensity. He is a top, top player,” said Guardiola after the game.
“The club made a good mark [signing Semenyo] and Antoine is an incredible signing,” he added.
Semenyo now boasts 13 goals and four assists in 25 league outings this season and will be aiming to carry that momentum into the FA Cup tie against Salford City.
The result keeps City firmly in the Premier League title conversation, trimming Arsenal’s lead at the top to three points.
