Paulo Dybala back ‘on the list’ at Manchester United

Paulo Dybala back ‘on the list’ at Manchester United

Word stemming from the European media on Friday points towards Manchester United as having reemerged as a potential landing spot for free agent Paulo Dybala.

Securing reinforcements in the final third have, of course, become something of a pressing issue at Old Trafford over the course of the last week.

This comes on the back of the bombshell announcement that Cristiano Ronaldo had come to the decision to seek pastures new, just 12 months on from securing a return to his former stomping grounds in Manchester.

With Edinson Cavani having too moved on owing to the expiration of his Red Devils contract, the transfer team at the Theatre of Dreams, in turn, have been left with no choice but to restrategize, now eyeing not one, but two central attacking additions.

And, as alluded to above, on Friday, the identity of one such potential target has been revealed.

As per Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Argentine international Paulo Dybala is ‘on United’s list’ once more, after prior links between the two parties had gone cold of late.

Gifted forward Dybala, of course, is available as a free agent at present, after long-time club Juventus opted against renewing the 28-year-old’s contract.

With previous frontrunners to strike a deal, Inter Milan, having since opted to pull the plug on their own swoop for Dybala, the door has therefore been left ajar for Man United to step through.

‘Manchester United, yes, if Ronaldo left,’ Di Marzio responded when drawn on the chances of Dybala landing at Old Trafford during an interview with Wett Freunde.

‘But they are looking for a number 9 and if they get Dybala they will have to change their playing style. But he’s on United’s list.’

The Sky Italy reporter also went on reveal that Dybala’s previously sky-high wage demands have since been reduced to around €6 million-net-per-year.
