Ghana international Thomas Partey completed 90 minutes of action for the first time this season for club side Atletico Madrid in their Spanish La Liga game against Deportivo La Coruna.
Partey, who recently returned to the club after representing the Black Stars at the just ended AFCON, put in a master class midfield performance on the night, as his side was held to a 1-1 draw.
Prior to the game, Partey had made only 4 league appearances for the Los Rojiblancos, amassing a total of 62 minutes in all.
According to whoscored.com, Partey pulled in an impressive 90% pass success rate and 100% success in both tackles and aerial duels won.
Partey, last month signed a bumper contract renewal at Atletico that will keep him at the club until 2022, will be boosted by this performance as he looks to command a more consistent starting role in Diego Simeone’s side.
