On Saturday night, PSG hosts Nantes at the Parc des Princes in Ligue One as the reigning French champions look to extend their lead at the top of the French top-flight table.

PSG

Christophe Galtier’s team is currently eight points clear at the top of the French top-flight table. The reigning French champions recorded an impressive 3-0 win at second-place Marseille last time out in the league.

It was a second straight victory after three consecutive defeats in all competitions.

PSG has an excellent recent record in the French top flight, as they have won four of their previous five matches in Ligue One, having scored at least two goals in all four of the wins.

The club from the French capital also have a formidable recent home record in Ligue One, as they have won nine of their last ten league matches at the Parc des Princes.

They have unsurprisingly been prolific in their recent home games in Ligue One, scoring at least two goals in six of their last seven home league matches.

Nantes

The visitors look relatively comfortable in midtable, as they are seven points clear of the relegation zone.

However, Antoine Kombouare’s team have been in poor form of late, as a 2-1 home win over Lens in the Coupe de France last time out ended a winless run of four games in all competitions.

Nantes’ recent league form has been inconsistent, although they have won just two of their previous six games in the French top flight.

They also have a mixed recent away record in the French top-flight, but a 3-1 defeat at Lens in their last away game ended a four-game winless run on their travels.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that PSG will record a comfortable victory in a high-scoring encounter to maintain their recent stellar league form.
