Ghana has been drawn against the Ivorians and neighbours Burkina Faso and Togo with the Black Stars due to open their account in the tournament on January 11th 2010 against the Togolese.
But it is the game against Ivory Coast four days later in Cabinda that has caught on in Accra and beyond. And Paintsil admits it is a mouth watering prospect even though he is simply refusing to focus entirely on that.
“They look the biggest threat and our game against them should be wonderful one”, he told KickOffGhana.com. “But it will be wrong for us to go to Angola thinking only about them. The other teams in the group will test us too and they could be more difficult games because traditionally games against neighbours are never easy.”
Paintsil however reckons the Black Stars can go far in Angola and says there will be no better chance for them to end their long wait for another African title.
