Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed admiration for Berekum Chelsea boss Samuel Boadu ahead of their crucial encounter.
The Phobians will travel to Dormaa to face Chelsea, led by their former manager Boadu, in a vital Ghana Premier League fixture.
Boadu previously won the Ghana Premier League title and two FA Cup trophies during his time with Hearts of Oak.
Ouattara recalled his first encounter with Boadu during his stint as technical director for Moroccan giants Wydad AC back in 2021.
“Very good coach, very intelligent match,” Ouattara said in an interview with JoySports.
“First time I met him was when Hearts of Oak played Wydad and he [Boadu] beat them 1-0.
“He [Boadu] gave us a really tough game that day. We escaped big defeat because of our goalkeeper. Hearts of Oak really played well. From there, I started monitoring him.”
