Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has declared the Black Stars as favorites for their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Niger on Monday.
This comes after the team’s disappointing loss in their opening game at the Baba Yara Stadium, which Addo admitted had a profound impact on both him and his squad.
Determined to bounce back, the Black Stars are now focused on their second match against Niger.
“The press conference after the game showed me that we didn’t play badly. It was a really unlucky game.
“This positive sign gave me confidence, and this is the confidence I was trying to give to the team in the last days, and I think it worked quite well.
“This game, we are surely the favourites, and I am very, very confident that we will win this game,” he stated.
Ghana will crossed sword with Niger at the Stade Municipal Berkane at exactly 3pm prompt.
