Aduana FC dealt a significant blow to Bibiani Gold Stars’ top-spot aspirations with a convincing 2-0 victory at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on Sunday.
The hosts started strongly, scoring two goals within 12 minutes. Kelvin Obeng opened the scoring in the 7th minute and added his second goal five minutes later, securing a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Despite a spirited effort from Bibiani Gold Stars in the second half, Aduana’s defense held firm, denying them any scoring opportunities.
The win propelled Aduana to 11th place with 25 points, while Gold Stars remain second with 37 points.
Aduana will face Nations FC in their next match, while Bibiani Gold Stars take on Berekum Holy Stars.
