Cercle Brugge midfielder Lawrence Agyekum received his first call-up to the Black Stars for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21, followed by an away match against Madagascar in Morocco on March 25, in the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The former WAFA midfielder is currently traveling from Belgium to Ghana, accompanied by his Cercle Brugge teammate Abu Francis, who was also selected for the fixtures.
Lawrence has been a vital part of Cercle Brugge’s campaign, making notable contributions in the Jupiler Pro League and UEFA Conference League.
The 21-year-old has made 26 appearances so far in the 2024/25 season since joining the team from Red Bull in Austria.
