Nations FC defender Razak Simpson has received his debut Black Stars call-up for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
This comes after the 26-year Old’s impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League, where he’s made nine appearances, played 744 minutes, and won one Man of the Match award while keeping six clean sheets.
Simpson joined Nations FC from WAFA two seasons ago and has been a vital part of their defensive setup. He is expected to join the team this week to prepare for the crucial Group F qualifiers.
Ghana will face Angola on November 15 and host Niger in Accra on November 18, 2024.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers have been underway since September 2024, with 48 African countries competing for a spot in the tournament scheduled for Morocco next year.
Ghana is currently third in Group F – ten points behind leaders Angola, and 5 points adrift of second placed Sudan.
