With just two matches remaining in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle is brimming with belief as his side sit at the summit of the table.
The Abrankese-based club has enjoyed a remarkable campaign as they sit two points clear and need four points to guarantee the title.
Mingle, who has been central to their transformation, believes the club’s ambition and maturity could now propel them to their first-ever league crown.
“I worked at Bechem, and we came near several times, but they (Bechem United) were not interested in winning the league; however, here (at Nations), they are interested, and they want to go for the ultimate, so I am also prepared,” Mingle told Akoma FM.
The coach insists his players are just as hungry and focused, determined to finish the season strongly and not let complacency creep in.
“We will not allow complacency to creep into our team, we will focus and compete until the last game to prove that we are actually champions.
The race is still open, and we are focused on whatever we are doing. We have been psyching the players whenever there is a game, and we are taking the remaining matches one after the other, first on Basake and then on Heart of Lions.”
Nations FC are away to Basake Holy Stars in their next Premier League outing.
