Ex-AshantiGold Sporting Director Nana Kwasi Darlyn has reacted strongly to the Ghana FA verdict on the match-fixing incident involving the Miners and Inter Allies last season.
The 52-year-old was an official for the Obuasi-based club when the Miners took on the Eleven Is To One at the Len Clay Stadium in the matchday 34 clash in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
In a much-publicised verdict issued on Monday, 16th May 2022, the statement claims the ex-Bechem United official failed to honour the invitation extended to him by the investigation panel of the football regulatory body.
The ruling went further to slap a 4-year ban on him for his failure to honour the invitation and not being found guilty or complicit in the crime.
However, the outspoken administrator has quickly dismissed the claims that he failed to honour the invitation and has challenged the ruling with facts on his appearance before the panel.
In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the Ghana FA, Darlyn has challenged the claims in the verdict and indicated that he honoured the invitation with his lawyer – Kweku Eyiah.
