Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has outlined his ambitious plans for the Accra-based club, prioritizing the Ghana Premier League title and continental success.
The Phobians exited the MTN FA Cup at the round of 16 stage after losing 4-3 in a penalty shootout to Golden Kicks.
Speaking on Asempa FM, the Ivorian trainer said his primary focus is on securing the league title, which is crucial for competing at the continental level.
“My target for Hearts of Oak is to get the trophy from the national side (league title) and go to Africa and achieve some glorious name and go forward. That’s my focus.
“To go to Africa, you need to win the league in Ghana. We need to work on that and go forward,” he stated.
Hearts of Oak will shift their attention to the Ghana Premier League, where they sit fourth on the league log with 33 points after 19 games. The Ghana Premier League is expected to resume on March 7.
