MTN FA Cup final to be stage at Baba Yara Stadium on June 26

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the final for this season’s MTN FA Cup will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

After an exciting contest in the 2021/22 domestic cup competition, the finale is set to be played next month.

Already in the semi-finals of the competition, the two top ties will be played this weekend.

In the first semi-final game, Hearts of Oak is set to take on Dreams FC on Saturday. In the other game, Bechem United will take on Aduana Stars.

Before the semi-final matches are played, the Ghana FA has released a statement to confirm the venue and date for the grand finale.

“The MTN FA Cup committee has settled on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi as the venue for the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup final on Sunday, June 26, 2022,” part of a release from the GFA has said.

Hearts of Oak are hoping to win a second consecutive MTN FA Cup title this season after winning last season’s edition.
