Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus expressed deep disappointment and frustration in his post-match reaction following Ghana’s dramatic 2-2 draw against Mozambique in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

“In games like this, it’s just small margins, the little things. Keep your focus throughout the whole game. We gave away two cheap goals; against Egypt the same thing. We just lost our concentration in the last minute of the game,” Kudus reflected.

The midfielder highlighted the significance of maintaining focus in crucial moments and bemoaned the team’s lapses that led to conceding late goals.

“Today was an easy win for us. Just keep it like that till the end of the game. We were just too sloppy, two silly mistakes. This game was too easy,” Kudus remarked while wiping tears from his face.

The visible emotion in his reaction underlined the gravity of the missed opportunity and the impact of the result on Ghana’s AFCON campaign.

With two points, Ghana now have a slim chance to progress to the knockout round of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Côte d’lvoire 2023.
