Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus has made history by being nominated for FIFA’s prestigious Puskás Award, placing him among the top 11 contenders for the best goal of last season.
Kudus earned his spot on the list following his stunning goal against Freiburg in the Europa League quarter-finals.
The former Ajax star faces stiff competition from the likes of Hassan Al Haydos, Terry Antonis, Yassine Benzia, Walter Bou, Michaell Chirinos, Federico Dimarco, and Alejandro Garnacho.
The coveted award is named after legendary Hungarian striker Ferenc Puskás, with previous winners including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The winner of the FIFA Puskás Award will be chosen by fans and a FIFA Legends panel. Voting will close on Tuesday, December 10th.
