Ghanaian Legend Micheal Essien has picked Luka Modric as his best midfielder in the world.
Essien played with the Croatian talisman at Real Madrid between 2012 to 2013.
“Favourite midfielder? The first is surely Luka Modrić. He’s an amazing player and he’s been a friend to me when I was here. His career is incredible,” he said.
Essien made the revelations following his visit to the Santiago Bernabeu to watch the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals between Real Madrid and Chelsea.
The 40-year-old currently serves as an assistant coach at Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
