Medeama SC winger Zakaria Mumuni has been released from hospital after being knocked unconscious during their match week 29 encounter against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.
Mumuni went unconscious after colliding with Berekum Chelsea’s defender Edwin Kuffour 20 minutes into the game which ended goalless at the Golden City Park in Berekum and was rushed to the hospital after some minutes of CPR test on him on the field to bring the situation under control.
He was given further medical care by the officer on duty, Dr Daniel Agyei, who cleared him to be discharged at exactly 9:02 am on Thursday to join his team mates, who were on standby awaiting is recovery before leaving Berekum.
The players is expected to be given further monitoring before his introduction onto the field.
Medeama SC are 4th on the league table with 47 points after 29 matches played so far.
The former MTN FA Cup champions will travel to Accra to face Great Olympics on match week 30 on Saturday.
