Board Member of Medeama SC, George Mireku Duker says his outfit have set sights on winning the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League trophy.
The Mauves and Yellow lads are pitted in Group D with Egyptian giants Al-Ahly, Tanzanian Champions Young Africans & Algerian side CR Belouizdad.
The Ghana Premier League champions are debutants in the group.
But Mireku is confident they can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
“We want to take the trophy, that’s our aim, we are not just going to participate,” he told Citi Sports.
“That’s why I said, we are going to shock the world, we are the underdogs, obviously.
“But watch out for Medeama, whichever team comes up, we are ready to face them.
“We want to go ahead perform and so we can gradually increase our slots in CAF’s competitions,” he added.
Medeama SC will travel to Egypt to face Al-Ahly on the 24-25 November.
