A first-half goal from Kamaradini Mamudu secured Medeama SC a 1-0 triumph over Legon Cities in the second week of the Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Mamudu struck in the 19th minute after a deflected header to give Medeama the lead.
It was the attacker’s third consecutive goal against Legon Cities.
Despite attempts from Legon Cities to level the score, Medeama maintained their advantage going into the break and ultimately attained all three points at full time.
The defeat sees Legon Cities languishing at the foot of the table, while Medeama leas the pack with the rest of the matches to come off on Sunday.
