Match Commissioner for RTU vs. Medeama game collapses after attack by home fans

The match commissioner for the game between Real Tamale United and Medeama Sporting Club has collapsed.

The Tamale-based club is hosting the defending Ghana Premier League champions to clear the outstanding Round 13 fixture.

Information gathered indicates that there has been an attack on Charles Darkwa, the match commissioner assigned to the game.

It is reported that the match commissioner was hit by sachets of water thrown by fans of the home team from the stands.

Meanwhile, RTU are leading by a goal to nil at the Aliu Mahama Stadium with just 10 minutes left to play for the referee to bring proceedings to an end.

This will be a shock result for the visitors who are aiming to defend the Ghana Premier League title.
