Sadio Mané has been named the Best Player of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), capping an outstanding campaign with Senegal.
Mané’s leadership, consistency, and decisive influence were instrumental in Senegal’s title-winning run, with the forward contributing two goals and three assists in seven games.
He led Senegal to the final, scoring the winning goal against Egypt in the semi-finals, and has become the most decisive player in AFCON history since 2010.
Mané’s achievement comes after he surpassed legends Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba in goal contributions, solidifying his status as one of Africa’s greatest players.
His exceptional performance has earned him the TotalEnergies Player of the Tournament award.
