The Black Queens have named a 26-player squad for the Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates, blending experienced internationals with promising local talents.

Coach Kim Lars Björkegren has included three home-based players, showcasing the rising role of local stars in the national team.

Samartex Ladies goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan, who was a standout at the last WAFCON, retains her spot in the squad.

Forward Ajegipina Zakaria of Ampem Darkoa Ladies has earned her first senior team call-up after scoring 12 goals in the Women’s Premier League this season.

Diana Amoako, also from Ampem Darkoa Ladies and a key figure in Ghana U20’s 3-2 aggregate win over South Africa in World Cup qualifiers, makes her debut for the senior side.

The Pink Ladies Cup will see Ghana face Russia, Hong Kong, and Tanzania, giving the squad international experience ahead of the WAFCON tournament.

Veteran players like Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Jennifer Cudjoe, Portia Boakye, and Grace Asantewaa are expected to guide the newcomers.

The competition will allow the technical team to evaluate player readiness, build team cohesion, and fine-tune tactical strategies.

The Black Queens hope to maintain their position among Africa’s top women’s football teams through this preparation.

The team is set to depart for the UAE in the coming days to begin the tournament campaign.
