Malta Guinness Ghana, headline sponsors of the Women’s Premier League, has introduced special cash rewards for the best player in both the Southern and Northern Zones, as well as the best coach for the 2024/2025 season.

This was disclosed by the Marketing Manager of Malta Guiness Ghana, Ms. Dinah Adu Asare during the launch of the new season at the FA Headquarters on Tuesday October 15, 2024.

She explained that the new awards are aimed at recognising and rewarding the hard work and commitment that players and coaches contribute to the growth of the league.

“In further support of excellence, this season, we are proud to introduce special cash awards for the best player in both the Southern and Northern Zones, as well as the best coach of the season. As we reflect on the past two years of headlining the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, we are filled with immense pride,” she said.

“We’ve had the privilege of witnessing, not only the sheer brilliance and talent of these young women, but also their resilience, passion, and dedication to the sport. In further support of excellence, this season, we are proud to introduce special cash awards for the best player in both the Southern and Northern Zones, as well as the best coach of the season,” she added.

The headline sponsors of the league will be giving a cash incentive of GHS10,000 to the Best Coach of the season while the Best Player in both zones will take home GHS10,000 each.

This initiative, according to Malta Guiness Ghana, is aimed at recognising and rewarding the hard work and commitment that players and coaches contribute to the growth of the Women’s Premier League.
