It’s the biggest game in the Segunda Division this weekend as SD Eibar and Levante are set to clash at the top of the table with just one point separating the two sides ahead of the game at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
The tight gap between these two sides only justifies even more the crazy nature of the Spanish second tier this season.

It has been an incredible campaign so far, and we head into this game with seventh-placed Cartagena sitting only four points behind the league leaders Eibar and just a point here and there separating everyone in the playoff positions. In fact, it will take a bold prediction to guess how this season is set to pan out.
Regardless of the form shown so far from either side, this game is incredibly tough to predict. Just one point keeps them apart right now as Levante sit in third and behind second-placed Las Palmas by just goals difference.
Even then, the goals difference margin is only two goals, as Levante have scored one goal less and conceded one goal more.
However, it’s Javier Calleja’s men who have been impressive the most in recent weeks. His side defeated Malaga 1-0 at home a few weeks back, before a 0-0 draw with Ponferradina.
Levante then registered arguably their best result of the season in beating the former league leaders, Deportivo Alaves, away from home in a fantastic and clinical 2-0 win.
As for Eibar, no side has won more games than them this season with 10 victories from the 20 outings thus far. It does mean they have managed to win 50% of their games, but in losing four, they have also lost one more than Levante.
Nevertheless, the club are coming into this game off the back of a three-game winning run. This started with a 2-1 victory over Huesca, before beating promotion-chasing Burgos by the same scoreline. Eibar then edged past Oviedo by a narrow 1-0 scoreline.
The last defeat for the table-topping club was to Cartagena at the end of November, losing to them on the road in a 2-1 loss.
This also came after drawing 0-0 with Alaves and 1-1 with Las Palamas, so besides the recent win over Burgos, it shows how much Eibar have struggled against sides in the top six this season.
Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals once more.
