Former Medeama SC star Kwasi Donsu was on target for Tarxien Rainbows FC on Tuesday night, but his effort could not prevent a 3-1 defeat to Hibernians FC in the Maltese Premier League.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who played the full 90 minutes at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, struck two minutes after the restart to halve the deficit for his side.
Hibernians had earlier taken control of the Round 6 clash, with Cleiton opening the scoring in the 17th minute before Lucas Villela doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time.
Donsu’s goal briefly gave Tarxien hope, but the visitors wrapped up victory late on as Villela netted his second in the 89th minute.
Despite the setback, Donsu’s performance stood out, underlining his growing influence in Malta’s top flight. He has now registered two goals in five league appearances this season.
