Asante Kotoko beat Aduana Football Club 1-0 in a Ghana Premier League match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, ending a four-match winless run on Sunday

Kwame Poku scored the winning goal with a powerful strike, while Aduana FC’s hopes were dampened after they missed a penalty, saved by Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Camara.

The win marked a good start for interim coach Karim Zito who joined the Kumasi based outfit after the sack of Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum

Asante Kotoko now sit 4th with 50 points, while Aduana FC is 11th with 38 points.

In the upcoming games Asante Kotoko will face Heart of Oak, and Aduana FC clash with Berekum Chelsea.
