Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah could name a familiar starting line-up to face Uganda on Saturday but Kwadwo Asamoah is likely to be moved to central midfield while Jeffery Schlupp is the most likely player for left-back position.
The soft-spoken trainer is expected to retain about 98% of the team which played at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
With Sulley Muntari out of the squad, coach Appiah is expected to move Kwadwo Asamoah into central midfield while impressive Leicester City left-back Jeffery Schlupp expected to play in the position the Juventus’ utility player occupied at the World Cup.
Fatau Dauda, who recently returned to action after signing for Chippa United, is expected to be named between the sticks and given cover by centre-backs John Boye and Jonathan Mensah.
Fantastic Harrison Afful retains his right-back position and the left will taken by Schlupp who has been consistently played in that position since the start of training on Tuesday.
In midfield, Mohammed Rabiu will be the anchor and supported by Juventus ace Kwadwo Asamoah.
Andre Ayew and Christian Atsu will be operating from the flanks.
Captain Asamoah Gyan will lead the lines and backed by Trabzonspor new boy Abdul Majeed Waris.
Kick-off is at 16:00 Â GMT.
Predicted starting XI: Fatau Dauda- Harrison Afful, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, – Mohammed Rabiu, Christian Atsu, Kwadwo Asamoah, Asamoah Gyan, Abdul Majeed Waris and Andre Ayew.
