Ghana’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites, face a difficult challenge after being drawn into Group C for the upcoming U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The draw, held in Cairo, placed Ghana alongside defending champions Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic. In Group A, host nation Egypt will compete against South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone.
Group B consists of four teams: Nigeria, Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco.
The tournament begins on April 26, with the final scheduled for May 18, featuring 13 teams.
This competition serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, slated for September 27 to October 19, 2025. CAF rescheduled the tournament to Egypt after the withdrawal of Ivory Coast from hosting the competition due to security reasons.
The Black Satellites will be hoping to make a return to the U-20 FIFA World Cup after their last appearance in New Zealand in 2015.
