Ghanaian forward Owusu Kwabena was on scoresheet for Qarabag in their 1-1 draw with Ferencvaros in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

The Azerbaijan Premier League side, who eliminated Zurich FC in the last qualifier, were keen to start on a good note at home but the visitors had other ideas.

Ferencvaros struck in the 18th minute which  silenced the home crowd in the 18th minute through forward Frank Boli.

Eleven minutes to the break, Owusu scored the equalizer which eventually helped his side attain a draw with the Hungarian champions.

The 25-year-old played full throttle of the encounter at the Tofiq Bahramov stadium.

The second-leg will come off on August 9, in Budapest for a spot in the play-offs of the Champions League.
