Kudus Mohammed is the face of Black Stars, says Hearts of Oak legend Dong Bortey

Hearts of Oak legend, Bernard Dong Bortey has urged Kudus Mohammed to avoid complacency after his blistering start of the season.

The Ajax star has been sensational for the club, scoring five times in four games played.

The former FC Nordsjaelland forward scored a spectacular strike against English Premier League giants Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Bortey, who is a Ghana Premier League winner speaking in an interview said Kudus Mohammed is the face of the Black Stars but must stay on course and avoid complacency.

“Kudus Mohamed is currently the face of the Black Stars and he is a great player; he can go far,” he told Union FM.

“He needs the guidance of our football leaders to avoid complacency,” he said.

The former Right to Dream Academy ace will be hoping to keep his place in Ajax’s squad when they travel to play AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Kudus has been named Black Stars’ squad that will face Brazil and Nicaragua in international friendlies later this month as part of preparations ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
