Kudus, Inaki set to join Ghana camp as 2023 AFCON preparation gains momentum

As the Black Stars of Ghana intensify their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), expectations are high for a full house on Thursday as key players, Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams, are set to join the camp.

The team, led by head coach Chris Hughton, has been diligently fine-tuning its strategies during training sessions at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

With Wednesday’s session featuring 25 players engaged in rigorous drills, the imminent arrival of Kudus and Williams is poised to provide an added boost to the squad.

A pre-tournament friendly against Namibia is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, January 8, 2024.

The friendly fixture is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 pm, offering fans a glimpse of the team’s preparedness.

Ghana, drawn in Group B, will contend with Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique in the upcoming AFCON campaign, with expectations running high for a successful tournament.
