The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo, has called for the immediate resignation of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku.
This demand follows the Black Stars’ disappointing performance in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
Under Okraku’s leadership, the national team has struggled, experiencing back-to-back group stage exits in the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
The poor start to the 2025 AFCON qualifiers has left Ghana on the verge of missing next year’s tournament.
“Kurt Okraku should resign, or better yet, fulfil his second term and then leave without seeking a third term,” he told Akoma FM.
Ghana now needs to secure wins against already-qualified Angola and Niger, while hoping that Sudan falters in their remaining matches, to keep their hopes alive for next year’s tournament in Morocco.
