Young Apostles owner Peter Domfeh has appealed to Asante Kotoko to remain in the Ghana Premier League.
This comes after Kotoko announced their withdrawal following the tragic death of fan Francis Frimpong.
Domfeh emphasized the significant impact Kotoko’s absence would have on the league, citing their massive fan base and influence.
“Ghana Premier League will be lifeless without Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. We all thrive on them.
“Therefore, Kotoko shouldn’t quit the league. These two clubs command a lot of fans so their absence will have a negative effect on the product,” he told Kessben FM.
Meanwhile, in a combined statement Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are striving for improved security at the match venues to avert future mayhem.
Due to what happened, the GFA has put on hold the Premier League matchday-20 fixtures for the weekend.
