Asante Kotoko have regained its top position in the Ghana Premier League standings, thanks to Samuel Tenadu’s decisive goal against Basake Holy Stars.
Tenadu’s long-range shot took a fortunate deflection, finding its way into the net and securing a crucial win for Kotoko.
Despite Holy Stars’ impressive ball control, Kotoko consistently posed a threat, with several near-misses, including a disallowed goal from Dauda Saaka and a shot from Kwame Opoku that narrowly sailed over the crossbar.
Emmanuel Antwi also struck the post in attempt to double the lead for the Porcupines.
The victory propels Kotoko to the top of the league table with 42 points, while Holy Stars remain in 14th place with 24 points.
Kotoko’s next challenge comes against Berekum Chelsea, while Holy Stars faces off against Medeama.
