Asante Kotoko have expressed deep sorrow following the tragic deaths of two Aduana FC supporters in Kumasi on Sunday night.
The incident happened shortly after the Week 10 league match between the two clubs, which ended 1-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to reports, a tricycle transporting some Aduana fans overturned at Aboabo, leading to the death of two passengers.
Kotoko issued a message of sympathy, describing the news as devastating for the football community.
“The entire Asante Kotoko Sporting Club family is profoundly saddened and devastated to learn of the tragic accident,” the club stated.
They extended solidarity to Aduana FC, their supporters, and the people of Dormaa Ahenkro during this difficult moment.
Kotoko also acknowledged the passion of the fans who lost their lives returning from supporting their club.
Both teams have called for unity and compassion as families mourn the tragic loss.
