Kojo Addae-Mensah urges government to reinstate betting tax for sports development

Data Bank CEO, Kojo Addae-Mensah, has called on the government to reinstate the betting tax, but with a clear purpose to channel the full revenue into supporting sports in Ghana.

Speaking to Sporty FM, Addae-Mensah said:

“Government needs to reinstate the betting tax and 100% of the revenue should be directed to the sports fund.”

His comments come at a time when many stakeholders are pushing for more sustainable funding models for sports development, particularly for football and youth programs.
