Veteran journalist and former Kotoko Express editor, Jerome Otchere, has called on Ghana Premier League clubs to rise to the occasion following the announcement of the Adesa-GFA broadcasting deal.
Otchere welcomed the development as a step in the right direction but stressed that clubs now carry a greater responsibility.
“The clubs have a huge responsibility because this is government money, not charity. They must justify the investment by being disciplined and professional,” he said.
The deal, which will see three live games televised every weekend alongside highlight packages, is expected to boost visibility, attract sponsors, and grow fan engagement across the country. However, Otchere believes the onus lies on clubs to ensure the investment yields tangible returns for Ghana football.
