Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren believes his team could have scored more goals in their 3-1 win over Malawi in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly game on Saturday.
Despite the win being Ghana’s first in four games, Bjorkegren was pleased with his team’s effort.
“The start was probably a little bit slow, but otherwise, we were the better team the whole game,” he said.
Bjorkegren noted that his team created numerous scoring opportunities, saying, “
We produced so many chances, we won the game 3-1, but if you are looking at the chances, we could have scored probably six, seven today, but the most important thing is to win.”
Ghana will play two more friendly games before the AFCON, against Benin on Wednesday and Nigeria afterwards.
The Black Queens are preparing for the tournament, where they are grouped with South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali in Group C.
