Karela United’s head coach, Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu, has admitted that his team is feeling the pressure to secure victories in their matches.
Their recent 1-1 draw at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on matchday 9 extended Karela’s winless streak to seven matches.
The early lead, courtesy of Emmanuel Owusu Boakye in the 6th minute, was canceled out by Hamza Issah’s goal in the 40th minute.
With just one win, two losses, and six draws in their nine games, Karela United currently occupies the 14th position in the league standings with 9 points. Their position could become precarious if they don’t improve their form.
Shaibu acknowledged the pressure on his team, stating, “Yes, definitely the team will be under pressure to deliver because to whom much is given, much is expected.”
Karela United will be looking to turn their fortunes around in their next game when they face Accra Lions, hoping to secure a much-needed victory.
