Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana found the net for Southampton, but it wasn’t enough as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League.
Southampton trailed 2-0 at halftime after early goals from Dango Ouattara and Ryan Christie at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Kamaldeen pulled one back in the 72nd minute, but Bournemouth sealed the win when Semenyo assisted Marcus Tavernier for their third goal.
The 23-year-old played 85 minutes before being substituted for Cameron Archer.
It was Kamaldeen’s second goal of the season in 14 appearances across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Semenyo, who played the full match, earned a 7.4 rating on Flashscore.
He has now contributed to 11 goals in 24 appearances for Bournemouth this season.
