The Ghana Football Association has unveiled Kim Lars Bjorkegren as the new head coach of the Black Queens.
The 43-year-old replaces Nora Hauptle who left her role for the Coppa Queens of Zambia.
Bjorkegren signed a two-year deal and will lead the nation at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for July 2025.
“The most important aspect of my job is to visit all the players, watch games, and help them improve,” he said.
“In football and in life, sometimes you’re successful one day, sometimes not.
“Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but I think the most important thing for me, the staff, and the players is to work hard every single day to ensure that we will be successful sooner or later.”
The newly appointed head coach is tasked to lead the Queens to a successful tournament and secure qualification for the Women’s FIFA World Cup tournament.
