Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew remains cautious yet optimistic about Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifying chances.
Despite the team’s current strong position in Group I, Ayew acknowledges that the journey is far from over.
“But it is not yet over. We have four more matches to play, and we are focused on winning them,” he said after Ghana played Trinidad and Tobago.
Ayew is aware of the challenges ahead, citing upcoming matches against Chad, Mali, Central African Republic, and Comoros as tough tests.
However, he exudes confidence in the team’s mentality and spirit. “But with this kind of mentality and team spirit, we will succeed,” Ayew asserted.
