Ghana captain Jordan Ayew made a dream start at Leicester City, scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 pre-season friendly win over OH Leuven.
The Foxes took an early lead through an Takahero Akimoto own goal, but Leuven equalized after the break through Jovan Mijatovic.
Ayew came off the bench to seal the win, expertly heading home a corner kick in the latter stages of the match.
The victory will boost Leicester City’s morale as they prepare for the upcoming English Championship season, following their relegation from the Premier League.
The Ghanaian striker is expected to play a key role in Leicester’s bid to bounce back to the top flight.
