Jordan Ayew reveals how he luckily joined home-city club Olympique Marseille

Jordan Ayew has revealed he fortuitously got recruited by French giants Olympique Marseille, his  first professional club.

The 25-year-old says he had gone to watch his elder brother Andre who was on trial and then requested to train with the academy side.

Marseille were convinced about his qualities and decided to enroll him into their academy.

”Andre went for a trial at Marseille,” Ayew explains to swanseacity.net

”I was there too. I wasn’t supposed to be on trial but I was watching training.

”I asked my aunt, who was with me, if the younger players were training at the same time because I wanted to play.

”They let me train and then the club said they wanted me too. I was lucky. They signed me as well as Andre.”

Jordan signed a three-year professional contract with Marseille in 2009 after his elder brother Andre Ayew took the lead at the Ligue one side.
