Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has revealed his personal picks for the 2025 FIFA The Best Men’s Player award, placing Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer first, followed by France captain Kylian Mbappé, with Ousmane Dembele in third.

Ayew cast his vote as part of the captains’ voting bloc, which, alongside national team coaches, journalists, and fans, makes up 25% each of the overall vote.

Despite Ayew’s preference, it was Ousmane Dembele who ultimately lifted the award, capping a sensational 2024-25 season. The 28-year-old spearheaded Paris Saint-Germain’s first-ever Champions League triumph and helped the club secure four major trophies in total.

Dembele’s remarkable consistency across both domestic and European competitions saw him finish ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé in the final standings, cementing his status as one of the world’s elite players.
