John Paintsil FC have closed the first half of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Division Two League season sitting proudly at the top of the table.
Their grip on first place was strengthened by a hard-fought 2-1 victory away to Madina Republicans over the weekend.
The result ensured the defending champions maintained their position at the summit heading into the league’s break.
It mirrors last season’s campaign, when the club also topped the standings at the halfway stage before eventually clinching the title.
Under the guidance of former Black Stars defender and current national team deputy coach John Paintsil, the side has shown remarkable balance and consistency.
They have led the table from the opening fixtures, combining tactical discipline with resilience in key moments.
After 15 matches, the team has accumulated 30 points from eight wins, three draws and three losses.
Their defensive organisation has stood out, with just 13 goals conceded, the lowest tally in Zone 5.
