John Boye remains on the sidelines with hip injury

Ghana defender John Boye has been in action for two weeks in a row for Stade Rennais as he remains in the treatment room with a hip injury. 

The centre-back was left out the club’s 2-0 win at home against Ajaccio on Saturday night in the French Ligue 1.

Boye has not been in action since returning from international duty two weeks ago when he played in a Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia and the friendly with Japan.

He missed last week’s 0-0 draw at Lyon in the Ligue 1.

Boye has been battling injuries since the start of the season and has made only one appearance so far.

But it is expected that he will regian full fitness for the first leg World Cup play-off gainst Egypt at home on 15 October.
