Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Randy Abbey has charged Black Stars to beat Sudan in their upcoming 2025 African Cup of Nations fixture.
The four times African champions will host their Sudanese counterparts in Ghana on 11 October at Accra Sports Stadium before moving to Libya for the return leg set for Monday, October 14.
Ghana commenced their qualification campaign on uninspiring note, suffering a 1-0 loss to Angola’s Palancras Negras at Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a 1-1 draw against Niger in Berkane.
The rresults left them in third in Group F.
“It’s a must-win game,” he declared during an interview on Metro TV.
“We have to do everything we can to win that game, we know the consequences if we don’t win.
“So we need to win that and then once we have dealt with that, we will focus on the subsequent games,” he added.
Trainer of Black Stars Otto is set to name the squad for the fixture in the coming days.
