West Ham United trainer David Moyes has applauded Ghanaian attacking Mohammed Kudus after his five star performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 23 year old netted twice as Ghana played a 2-2 drawn game against Egypt in the second phase of the Group stage of the ongoing tournament.
After the clash Moyes expressed his delight at Kudus’ success, emphasizing the player’s contribution to both the national team and his club.
“It was great for Mohammed to score two really good goals for his country. We know his qualities and he’s done so great for us, and now he’s showing it at the big stage”, Moyes said.
The four times African champions has a game left to spare against Mozambique on Monday night in a must win game to have a fair chance of making to the next stage of the competition.
Ghana sits at the bottom of the Group B log with one after playing two games.
